The Problem

You have probably already tried something like this.

Most teams have already tried a wellbeing day, a guest yoga class, or a one off guided meditation. People genuinely enjoy it while it is happening. But a week later, most have quietly gone back to how things were, not because they did not get anything from it, but because one good hour was never really enough time for something new to take hold.

What actually changes how people handle a hard day is practising a skill, not experiencing it once.

The Solution

A practice that has room to grow

Learn to Meditate at Work runs over six weeks, one session a week, so what your team learns has time to settle in and become part of how they actually work, rather than a nice memory from a single afternoon.

Led by someone who already understands your workplace.

Because the same person facilitates your team's Burnout Prevention Workshop, sessions build naturally on what your people have already learned, instead of starting over with someone new who has to learn your workplace from scratch.

The Program

Six weeks. One new skill each week.

Each week adds one new skill on top of the last. Nothing is repeated, nothing is filler. Every session includes guided meditation.

01

Understanding the Practice

What meditation actually is, how attention and the nervous system relate, and why a short daily practice works. Practice: breath awareness. Applied at work as a sixty second pause before opening email.

02

Grounding in the Body

A guided scan meditation, moving attention slowly through the body to notice where tension is held before it becomes conscious thought. Practised in session lying or seated, then applied at work as a ninety second check before a meeting.

03

Working with a Busy Mind

Why the mind wanders, and noticing and returning as the actual skill being trained. Practice: attention training. Applied at work as a reset before focused work.

04

Responding Rather Than Reacting

A guided pause practice, noticing breath and body in the moment before reacting, creating space between a trigger and a response. Practised in session as a short seated meditation, then applied at work before a difficult conversation or a frustrating email.

05

Meditation Under Pressure

Short workplace resets and meditation at the desk before a demanding stretch of the day. This is the workplace application, practised directly.

06

Building a Sustainable Practice

How to build a realistic personal practice that survives a busy week. Each participant leaves with a written, personal plan.

Why This Format

Why six weeks, why 45 minutes, why weekly

A single session can be genuinely lovely for an afternoon, but it rarely changes how someone handles a difficult Tuesday three weeks later. Building something that actually holds up takes practice, which is why this runs across six weeks rather than one.

Forty five minutes gives enough time to teach properly and practise together, without asking more of a busy team than six weeks in a row can reasonably carry.

Meeting weekly keeps the practice fresh while it is still new. Stretch the gap to a fortnight or a month, and there is usually enough time for it to quietly slip before the next session comes around.

What the organisation gets

Your team walks away with something they can genuinely use on a demanding day, not just a pleasant memory of a calm hour. It is a natural continuation of the Burnout Prevention Workshop, helping what people learned that day become part of how they work. Once the program wraps up, we will prepare a short summary for your internal reporting.

If your organisation already works with an employee assistance program or another wellbeing provider, this is not meant to replace that. Think of it as a more specific next step for teams who have done FLOW's workshop and want what they learned to genuinely stick.

Who it is for

Any team feeling the everyday pressures of modern work, tight deadlines, constant interruptions, back to back meetings, and not much room to properly reset. Nobody needs previous meditation experience to take part.

It is worth being upfront: this is not therapy, and it is not designed to treat any diagnosed condition. It is a practical skill for everyday stress and focus.
